This site is an independent reference. We do not prepare returns, we do not file on your behalf, and we have no access to your Florida Department of Revenue account. What we do is pass your request to a preparer who works on Florida sales tax, and they contact you directly.
What actually happens
- You send the form below. It takes a minute and asks for no account numbers, no login and no financial details.
- We set you up with a preparer who handles this kind of request.
- They contact you with what they'd charge and what they need. You decide from there, with them — not with us.
Nothing is filed and nothing is charged unless you agree it with the preparer yourself.
What it costs
Asking is free. If you engage the preparer, you pay them, at whatever they quote you. We may receive a referral fee from the preparer when someone we introduce becomes a client. That fee comes out of their side and does not change what you are quoted — but you should know it exists, so now you do.
You may not need this
Plenty of people on this page don't. If you have one location, straightforward sales and nothing overdue, filing it yourself through the Department's File and Pay service is free and usually takes about ten minutes. Returns are due on the 1st and late after the 20th of the month following the reporting period. Our due dates page has the full schedule.
It is worth asking someone when any of this is true:
- You're behind, or you've had a notice or a bill you don't understand.
- You collect across several jurisdictions and the rates aren't obvious.
- Exemption certificates are involved and you're not sure they're right.
- You're registering, closing, or your filing frequency just changed.
- The amount at stake is large enough that a mistake costs more than the fee.

We are not CPAs or tax professionals
Nobody who publishes this site is a certified public accountant, an enrolled agent, a tax attorney or a tax preparer, and this is not a professional service. We do not prepare Florida sales tax returns, we do not file them, and we do not advise anyone on them. Everything on this site is general information taken from published government sources.
Any preparer we introduce you to is an independent business — not our employee, not our agent, and not supervised by us. Their advice, their fees and their work are theirs. Whatever you agree is between you and them, and we are not a party to it and not responsible for it. We do not warrant their credentials, their availability or the outcome, and you should satisfy yourself about all three before you engage anyone.
Nothing on this page is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and reading it or sending the form creates no professional relationship of any kind.
